HYDERABAD: The Gachibowli police in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate registered a case against K Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju on Tuesday. The police registered the case following a complaint lodged by a constable of Andhra Pradesh police's intelligence department, SK Farooq Basha.

The complaint named Bharat, son of the MP, the MP's PA Sastry, an ASI and a constable of CRPF as the accused.

The constable in his complaint said that he was prevented from discharging his duties when he was working near Boulder Hills in Gachibowli. The constable Sk Farooq Basha stated that the four accused persons abducted him and took him in a car to the MP's residence.

He was beaten black and blue and they seized his wallet and identity card.

The MP instructed his men before leaving for New Delhi to give "me electric shocks."

The police booked the MP and four others, as the constable charged all the five with beating him in front of the media. He was subjected to illegal confinement (kidnap case) for three hours. Incidentally the constable was on Prime Minister's security duty.

The police are investigating the case.

Meanwhile, Raju wrote to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao complaining about breach of security near his residence. The MP said that some people were conducting a recce near his house in Boulder Hills since February last. He urged the Chief Minister to provide security at his house. He said he feared that he would be killed by some assailants from AP. Raju interestingly said the Commissioner of Police of Cyberabad Stephen Ravindra saying the top cop was, however, ensuring safety.

It may be recalled that Raju, who proposed to attend the unveiling of Alluri Sitarama Raju by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, embarked on a journey to Bhimavaram but called off soon.

He had boarded Narsapur Express at Lingampally station and alighted at Begumpet station. He later released a video saying that he had called off the attempt, despite a High Court order that had restrained the AP Police from arresting in a slew of cases, as plainclothesmen of AP police were escorting him.

The Cyberabad police registered the case with Crime No.707/2022, under sections 365,384,323,324,332,504,506,295(b) r/w 34,109 IPC).

And the CRPF Commandant placed the MP's security men — ASI and the constable — of his battalion under suspension and asked them to report in headquarters office at Noida.
