Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy all praises for TDP for Congress victory; Revanth heading ‘rainbow’ Cabinet

KHAMMAM: Telangana Minister for Revenue and Information Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Thursday waxed eloquent on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and activists for their dedication and hard work in ensuring the Congress party's success in recently conducted elections.

He expressed his gratitude to Chandrababu Naidu, the president of TDP, and Nara Lokesh for their support on behalf of the Congress party for their support in 10 constituencies in Khammam district.

During his visit to the TDP office in Khammam town, Ponguleti paid homage to Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), the founder of the TDP, and addressed there. He said that TDP had stood by the people to relieve them from the BRS party's ruling, putting their political aspirations aside. He said that the TDP cadre had worked relentlessly for the benefit of people across the state to end the family rule in the state.

Further speaking, he said there is no difference between the TDP and the Congress and asked the cadre not to worry about their absence in the government. He assured them of full support to the cadre.

Despite Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy's close association with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan's family, the latest comments on the TDP have taken everybody by surprise. It remains to be seen how the BRS and the YSRCP parties, which have a rivalry, would react to these political comments.

In fact, Telangana leaders, cutting across party line, have a fad to heap encomiums on Chandrababu Naidu.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy doesn’t make any bones to publicly showcase his allegiance to Naidu. He lauded Naidu during the electioneering. He had spent at least two and a half minutes to heap praise on Naidu, holding former minister and BRS contestant from Palakurthi Errabelli Dayakar Rao for the death of the TDP in Telangana.

Revanth Reddy’s bond with the TDP and Naidu is all too well known. His Cabinet has Tummala Nageshwara Rao has grown in the TDP before crossing over to the BRS and then to the Congress.

It maybe recalled that BRS leaders Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, T Harish Rao, Devireddy Sudhir Reddy, and a few others either praised or made mollycoddling statements in favour of Chandrababu Naidu on the eve of 2023 Assembly elections in Telangana.

Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has now joined the chorus with them and gave an elaborate vote of thanks to him.

Revanth Reddy is heading a Cabinet that is replete with Ministers who were loyalists of the late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy or Naidu or YS Jaganmohan Reddy or Bharat Rashtra Samithi supremo KCR at one point in time or the other of their political careers.

It’s a judicious mix of all “brands” of politics. It’s indeed a ‘rainbow’ Cabinet.
