HYDERABAD: Recently, there were rumors that global star and mega power star Ram Charan would buy a team in the IPL (Indian Premier League). Although it was later clarified that there was no such plan for the IPL, it has now been announced that Ram Charan will be the owner of the Hyderabad team in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL).

The ISPL is a T10 tennis ball cricket tournament, and its inaugural edition is scheduled from March 2 to March 9 in Mumbai.

Ram Charan expressed his excitement about joining the ISPL and announced on his Instagram account that he owns Team Hyderabad in the league. He emphasized that the ISPL is created for the boys playing cricket on the streets and aims to encourage talent and spread the spirit of street cricket.

The ISPL is seen as a platform to bring out the cricketing talent in different regions and allow regional players to showcase their skills at the national level. Ram Charan mentioned that owning a Hyderabad team in the ISPL gives him immense happiness.

The league will feature six teams – Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar – and is expected to become a new platform for discovering hidden talent nationwide.
