HYDERABAD: River Musi, perennially treated more as a sewerage passage, is in spade and flowing furiously due to the continuous release of water from Hussain Sagar, Himayath Sagar and Osman Sagar. Authorities, as a precautionary measure, have issued first-level warning for all the dwellers on the banks of the river.

The flow of water in the river at the Chaderghat and Moosarambagh has reached alarming levels, attracting onlookers in hordes to witness the flood fury in the river that usually remains dry. To pre-empt any flash floods and inundation, authorities have already placed residents of Bapughat, Sankar Nagar, Chaderghat and Moosarambagh on the highest alert.
