HYDERABAD: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Hyderabad to participate in National Executive meetings on Saturday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has upped the ante and kept the criticism and political trolling against the BJP.

The TRS social media activists have come up with an innovative idea of launching the diatribe offline and then viral the same online. The activists dressed up as the thieves in the famous Nettflix web series 'Money Heist' and stood in front of offices of banks and all financial institutions holding placards impaling the "money heist" in the country that was allowed right under the nose of the Centre.

The placards carried a slogan: 'We only rob bank. You rob the whole nation. #ByeByeModi." The protestors drew the eyeballs of onlookers with their strikingly scintillating red-colour jumpsuits. They stood in front of Kacheguda Railway Station, Saheb Nagar branch of Bank of Baroda, Vanasthalipuram branches of Union Bank of India and Punjab National Bank, fuel station (petrol/diesel dispensers), Pastapur branch of State Bank of India, on the platform of Zaheerabad Railway Station, in front of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, a Navratna PSU, and Life Insurance Corporation of India in Zaheerabad and many other Union Government installations. This is with a definite intent of impaling the economic foibles of the BJP-led central government.

One of the hoardings put up in the city saying that Modi likes 'Good Day' biscuits made by Britannia seemed politically tasty. Although Modi is not criticized directly, the meme-makers have taken a dig at Modi passing a snide remark on his trademark Aache Din slogan, linking it to the Good Day biscuit. The TRS leaders in their tweets mentioned that Modi's Aache Din is not for people except for the Good Biscuits that he likes. The TRS fans are trending the hoarding by sharing this banner on social media questioning where is the 'Good Day.

Apparently, the Prime Minister had never faced the heat of such trolling. Surely, the show of resistance by the TRS must be driving the BJP leaders nuts, for the regional party has set the agenda for the National Executive meet of the BJP. If the BJP tries to move and adopt a resolution against the TRS in its Hyderabad conclave, the purpose of the TRS would be more than served. And, it would amount to the victory of the TRS over the BJP in the perception battle that was akin to the proverbial David and Goliath fight.

Minister KTR led the battle from the front by posting satirical tweets, writing open letters and motivating the cadres to bolster their valour. The hoardings that highlighted Telangana Government's achievements were a big repartee, followed by a massive show of solidarity by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to Yashwant Sinha, the presidential nominee of the opposition parties.
