TRS MPs continue protest against GST

Prominent leaders from other opposition parties also joined the protest. They held the protest by displaying dairy products and LPG cylinders.

NEW DELHI: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MPs' protests against the increase of GST by the Centre continued on Friday as well. The leaders have been protesting with placards and slogans outside the Parliament building in New Delhi since July 19.

Prominent leaders from other opposition parties also joined the protest. They held the protest by displaying dairy products and LPG cylinders.

TRS Parliamentary Party Leader K. Kesha Rao, Lok Sabha Party leader Nama Nageswara Rao, MPs Joginapally Santosh Kumar, Vadiraju Ravichandra, Netakani Venkatesh,and others participated in the agitation.

TRS MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy tweeted by writing, "Continuing our strong protest against the BJP-led union government on the issue of the tax hike. Participated in a protest in the parliament along with fellow TRS parliamentarians. We demand the BJP reduce taxes to lessen the burden on the common people.

The TRS MPs created a commotion inside the Parliament building. They also surrounded the Speaker and covered his face with placards.



The TRS MPs also held protests across the State and in Parliament against the increase of GST on milk and dairy products, fuel prices and LPG prices. The MPs, joined by other party leaders, demanded the Centre withdraw GST on the common commodities and control rising prices.
