VIZIANAGARAM: In a shocking incident, a woman's body was carried on a two-wheeler to their village, Chittempadu, as an autorickshaw refused to let the body be taken in his vehicle from Visakhapatanam hospital after she died while receiving treatment.

The incident was reported at Girishikara village of Shringavarapu Kota in Vizianagaram.

It is indeed unfortunate that despite India becoming independent 76 years ago, these communities have not seen improvements in their infrastructure and living conditions. The lack of proper roads and access to basic facilities have resulted in hardships, including cases where people have lost their lives due to bad road conditions following illnesses.

Similarly, a week ago, a six-month-old boy died, and on Tuesday, the boy's mother, Gangamma, died of illness in Chittempadu village. Tribals said that despite several governments changing guard, the road was not being laid to their villages.
