AMARAVATHI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has arrived after his 10-day tour to London.

Jagan and his wife Y S Bharathi went to London to meet their daughters, Harsha and Varsha, who are living in London. While the elder daughter is working for a Hedge fund after completion of her postgraduation from INSEAD in France, the younger one is studying in King’s College.

The Chief Minister and his wife went on the vacation on a completely private visit and they made sure that not even a single photograph of theirs appeared in public domain - be it conventional media or social media.

When Jagan was away, Andhra Pradesh has witnessed high-octane political activity with the arrest of former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu in AP Skill Development Corporation scam. He was sent to judicial custody in Rajahmundry Central Prison. While the TDP protested the arrest and is upping the ante against the Government, the YSR Congress too vehemently countered the arguments put forth by the TDP. Series of press conferences were conducted by senior YSRC leaders and ministers to explain to the people as to why the TDP president was arrested.

With the arrival of YS Jagan in the State Capital, he would take stock of the situation personally and is expected to discuss with his trusted lieutenants in the party, government machinery and police and devise strategy in the way forward.

Meanwhile, AP CID, which is investigating into the Skill Development Corporation scam, sought a prisoner’s transfer (PT) warrant from the ACB Court in Vijayawada to question Chandrababu Naidu in the Amaravathi Inner Ring Road case.

With the arrival of the Chief Minister, the political heat is likely to hot up in the State.

Most surprisingly, lawyers of Naidu have not moved a petition seeking bail for him even as he is languishing in the prison at Rajahmundry.
