Ambati Rayudu meets YS Jagan again amid speculation of political innings

AMARAVATI: Former Indian cricketer and CSK member Ambati Rayudu on Thursday met YSRCP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy at the latter’s camp office-cum-residence in Tadepalli.

Ambati Rayudu was accompanied by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) management team including CSK franchise owner N Srinivasan’s daughter Rupa Gurunath during his visit to the Chief Minister’s residence. They displayed the TATA IPL trophy won by the CSK and presented the Chief MInister with a framed jersey of CSK bearing the signatures of all the players.

YS Jagan appreciated the efforts of the CSK team for winning their fifth IPL trophy. On the occasion, Ambati Rayudu explained to the Chief Minister that he is keen to promote sports through development of sports fields and infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister promised that his government would formulate a strong programme as per the suggestions made by Rayudu.

Meanwhile, the meeting has gained prominence as Ambati Rayudu met YS Jagan for the second time within a month after May 11,2023. Speculations are circulating on the social media platforms that Ambati Rayudu who is a native of Guntur district, was all set for his second innings in life by entering politics.

Speculations has been rife for quite some time that Rayudu could be joining the YSRCP. Grapevine has it that he could be aspiring for YSRCP ticket either from Guntur LokSabha or his native Ponnur Assembly constituency.
