HYDERABAD: TPCC Chief A Revanth Reddy’s visit to several segments of Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituency on Thursday began literally with a bang with party cadre tearing down a flex erected by the supporters of Uppal Congress leader Ragidi Laxma Reddy on Thursday and entering into a brawl.

Supporters of Mandumula Parameshwar Reddy, another Congress leader from Uppal, tore down the poster erected by Laxma Reddy’s supporters near the Asian multiplex of Uppal.

A clash ensued between the supporters of the two contenders even as police tried to control the two groups. Parameshwar Reddy’s supporters allegedly chased and manhandled a few video journalists covering the brawl.

Protesting the attack on the media few journalists who were present there boycotted the TPCC chief’s visit to the Malkajgiri area.

Earlier, Revanth Reddy took out a Padayatra from Uppal Ring Road to Bus Stand and also reviewed the ongoing construction work of the elevated corridor in Uppal.

Parameshwar Reddy is the husband of Corporator Ranjitha. He and Laxmayya Reddy are fiercely vying for Uppal Congress ticket in the upcoming Assembly elections elections.
