TIRUMALA: Peeved by his inability to secure the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Medak seat for his son Mynampally Rohith, the ruling party’s Malkajgiri MLA Mynampally Hanmanth Rao on Monday, said he would ensure the fall of State Finance Minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao.

Speaking to his close confidants at Tirumala hills after he had darshan there, the flamboyant leader alleged that Harish Rao was treating Medak as his ‘concubine’ while developing his constituency Siddipet very well. “I will teach a lesson to Harish Rao, I will ensure that he is defeated in Siddipet,” Hanmanth Rao said. He wanted Harish Rao to remember the days when he entered the Velama hostel in Hyderabad with a pair of footwear and an iron box for a start.

“He must remember how he grew over these years. He has earned a lot of money. This year I don’t have much time as I have to concentrate on Malkajgiri, but I will make sure that Harish Rao loses his address in this election,” he declared.

Swearing on Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala, Hanmanth Rao said that he would not retract from the promise he made to bring down Harish Rao from his higher pedestal. “I will not rest till I close his (Harish Rao) shop,” he said.

Hanmanth Rao who sought renomination from Malkajgiri and a nomination for his son Rohith from Medak, reportedly made up his mind to join Congress and the outburst in Tirumala was for preparing the ground to quit the BRS.
