HYDERABAD: The fuselage of an old airplane that was being transported from Cochin to Hyderabad on a trolley was stuck at an underpass in the Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday night. Hyderabad-based 'Pistahouse' has purchased the old plane with an idea to convert it into a hotel. While transporting the plane to Hyderabad, the trolley carrying the plane's fuselage was stuck at the underpass near the Medarametla bypass.

As the road leading to Hyderabad was closed due to ongoing works to remove boulders at Medarametla, the authorities have closed the road for Hyderabad-bound vehicles. Instead, the traffic was being diverted to go through the Korisapadu underpass. The trolley carrying the plane fuselage was also diverted towards this stretch but it got stuck while crossing the low-level underpass. Efforts were being made to carefully bring the plane fuselage out of the underpass with minimum damage.
