HYDERABAD: A Telugu song made it big at the prestigious Academy Awards. SS Rajamouli and his team have made history. Finally, the Telugu guys held hands at the Oscar awards. MM Keeravani and Chandrabose became the first Telugu people to win an Oscar as their song Naatu Naatu triumphed in the Best Original Song category.

Entire India eagerly awaited RRR to win an Oscar for many days. Finally, the dream came true. Naatu Naatu won the award by beating Applause from Tell It Like a Woman, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and This Is a Life from Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Naatu Naatu also became the first song produced by an Indian production house to win an Oscar. Keeravani presented a special song rendition on the stage after winning the award. Chadrabose greeted the people with "Namaste" and made all Telugu people proud.

Meanwhile, the entire India and fans of RRR are pouring wishes for RRR's team for this landmark achievement. SS Rajamouli has truly made the Telugu diaspora proud today.
