Siddipet farmers send postcards to Revanth Reddy, warn backlash in Lok Sabha polls if Congress govt doesn't fulfill promises

HYDERABAD: Farmers of Siddipet have launched an innovative programme to voice their grievances. Expressing their discontent, farmers resorted to sending postcards to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday, highlighting the failures of the Congress Government in fulfilling the promises made to them prior to the Assembly elections.

In their postcards, farmers demanded the immediate implementation of various promises pledged by the grand old party. These included a bonus of Rs 500 for paddy, an increase in farmers' insurance coverage from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, an allocation of Rs 12,000 for tenant farmers, a comprehensive farm loan waiver amounting to two lakh rupees, and a compensation of Rs 25,000 for losses incurred due to dried-up crops.

The farmers made it clear in their letters to Revanth Reddy that failure to fulfill these promises would result in significant repercussions in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
