Tempo overturns on Tirumala ghat road, second mishap in a week

TIRUMALA: A tempo toppled at the sixth curve on Tirumala Ghat road on Monday. This was the second accident on the Tirumala Ghat route in less than a week.

According to reports, all of the devotees on the tempo suffered injuries, with two in critical condition. They were promptly taken in an ambulance to Ruya hospital for treatment.

The devotees riding in the tempo, according to officials, were from Karnataka. Some devotees claimed the tragedy occurred due to the driver's negligence as he was talking on his phone while driving.
