A woman passenger was rescued by RPF constable from going under a moving MMTS train at Begumpet Railway Station

HYDERABAD: A woman passenger had a providential escape at Begumpet Railway Station on Tuesday, thanks to the alertness of an RPF constable who saved her from going under a moving MMTS train.

According to reports, a woman passenger, Saraswathi, hurriedly tried to board the Lingampally- Falaknuma MMTS train around 9 am on Tuesday. By the time Saraswathi tried to board the train, it had already picked up speed and she lost her balance and was at a risk of falling in the gap between the train and the platform.

Fortunately, on-duty RPF constable Sanatan K Sanitha was nearby the platform and rushed to rescue Saraswathi with the support of other passengers. Meanwhile, the CCTV footage of Sanitha rescuing Saraswathi went viral on social media and everyone praised her presence of mind and swift response.
