NEW DELHI: Former MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy who quit the BJP and is set to join the Congress, trained guns at Revanth Reddy and stated that the TPCC president's post is not a permanent one and anyone can be appointed to the post in two years.

Rajgopal Reddy was in New Delhi on Thursday and met Congress national general secretary KC Venu Gopal. Responding to a question from the media that he was ready to work collectively with the TPCC president without recalling the previous issues, Rajgopal Reddy said, "Revanth Reddy will not continue as TPCC president forever. In the Congress party, the AICC president will change and anyone can become the Prime Minister, TPCC president or Chief Minister in Telangana."

In August 2022, Rajgopal Reddy who was serving as an MLA from the Congress party in Munugode constituency quit the Congress and joined the BJP. He also then criticised Revanth Reddy for his opportunistic politics. Sources said that Rajgopal Reddy during his meeting with KC Venugopal sought him to allocate Munugode and Gajwel Assembly constituencies in the upcoming elections.
