Video- 16 fishermen rescued from sea in Konaseema

AMARAVATI: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Urja ship rescued 16 fishermen who were stuck in the sea near Kakinada port on Monday.

Due to heavy rains, 16 fishermen were trapped in the sea, around 10-km away from the Kakinada port. The two boats which were facing harsh tides brokedown trapping the fishermen.

Winds were recorded at a speed of 70-km per hour. The ONGC ship successfully onboarded the fishermen. However, that ship too remain stuck in the sea. They were later brought back to safety after the rain stopped.
