PRAKASAM: TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh took a trip down memory lane while interacting with mechanics and revaled that he even assembled a car with the help of his mechanic friend which is still in his house.

As part of his Yuvagalam Padayatra, Lokesh met mechanics at Santhanuthalapadu in Prakasam district on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Lokesh said, "I once assembled a car with the help of my mechanic friend which is still in my house. I am looking forward for the day when my son Devansh will take the car out for a drive."

On this occasion, the mechanics, sharing their problems to Lokesh, said that they lagged behind in using latest technology for repairing bikes and asked the TDP to organise skill training courses if they came to power.

"Please provide us with the latest tools to match our skillset and provide subsidised loans for setting up mechanic sheds. 8 lakh vehicle mechanics are working across the State and we want you to work for our welfare," the mechanics told Lokesh.

On a query by mechanics if Lokesh loved bikes, the TDP leader said, "I love to ride a bike. I once fitted a car chassis to a bike engine with the help of my mechanic friend. I recently rode a bullet during a bike rally in Mangalagiri constituency. There have been instances when I got beaten up by my mother after she figured out that I had bunked college to watch movies on a bike."
