SECUNDERABAD: An elderly woman left everyone in splits for a moment by running behind a bus in Secunderabad. People around, who assumed that she had forgotten something on the bus and was running after it, were later surprised to know that the woman was running to meet Mahankali ACP Ravinder, who was on security duty for minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav.

What made her rush to meet him?

Ravinder had seen a woman named Kavitha belonging to Karwan suffering from serious illness on a roadside in 2014 and admitted her to the hospital and paid the expenses for her treatment from his pocket. He was working as an Inspector at that time at Tappachabutra in the old city.

The woman, while traveling on the bus, saw ACP Ravinder and got off the bus in the middle of her journey. She ran towards him (ACP Ravinder) and profusely expressed her gratitude, shedding tears, and stated that she owed her life to him for the help. Expressing her joy, she said she had bought a silver rakhi for him and told him that she would tie it.

Upon seeing a photo of ACP Ravinder on the woman's phone, everybody present there was surprised by her thankfulness. Speaking on the occasion, she said she was alive only with the help of ACP and wished that the latter would reach higher positions in his profession. She took ACP Ravinder's mobile number and left the place.
