Telangana Legislative Assembly and Council approved the University of forestry (UOF) Act 2022 on September 13, 2022.

Telangana University of Forestry Act, 2022 will be the first of its kind in the country.

Currently, only Russia and China have forest universities in the world.

Telangana is now establishing the third forest university of the world.

University of Forestry aims to produce qualified forestry professionals for forest resource conservation and management.
