Fire breaks out in Bangalore-Howrah Express in Kuppam

KUPPAM: Fire broke out in Bangalore-Howrah Express in Kuppam of Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday evening, causing panic and commotion among the passengers. Fortunately, no casualties were reported from the incident.

According to reports, the fire broke out in S-9 coach, bringing the train to a screeching halt. Noticing the flames, passengers of S-9 and the adjoining coaches quickly jumped off the train and ran to safety.

The express train was halted at the incident site for two hours, causing disruption to other train services on this route. Railway authorities swung into action to carry out a quick investigation to identify the cause of fire and do the necessary rectification.
