TDP-led alliance announces manifesto; amalgamation of TDP’s super six, JSP’s ‘Shanmukha Vyuham’, BJP endorses

The manifesto is an amalgamation of Super Six which was declared already by the TDP and the six-point ‘Shanmukha Vyuham’ of the Jana Sena Party.

AMARAVATI: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led tripartite alliance announced its manifesto called ‘Praja Galam’ here on Tuesday. The manifesto is an amalgamation of Super Six which was declared already by the TDP and the six-point ‘Shanmukha Vyuham’ of the Jana Sena Party (JSP).

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which has a separate manifesto for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) did not contribute to the TDP-JSP’s ‘Praja Galam’ manifesto but endorsed it. BJP’s Andhra Pradesh in-charge Sidharth Nath Singh attended the press conference.

The manifesto promised a continuation of Amaravati as the State Capital, a Rs 10,000 honorarium for volunteers, completion of the Polavaram project, abolition of the Land Titling Act, Rs 4,000 old age pension from April 2024, Rs 6,000 pension for differently abled in addition to the others.

“We have clubbed representations that we have received in the past few years through Janavani, Yuva Galam, and online representations. We will implement the manifesto in toto,” JSP chief Pawan Kalyan said addressing the joint press conference.

“YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has made Rs 13 lakh crore debt in five years. Left each family a staggering debt of Rs 8 lakh, demolished Amaravati, diverted funds, closed Anna canteens, protected YS Vivekananda Reddy’s assassins and brought Land Titling Act,” former Chief Minister and TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu said.

Salient points of the manifesto

Super Six:

Aadabidda Nidhi: A monthly assistance of Rs. 1,500, with no restrictions, directly deposited into the women's bank accounts. For households with two women, the assistance would be Rs. 3,000; for three, Rs. 4,500; and four, Rs. 6,000.

Talliki Vandanam: Financial assistance would be provided: Rs. 15,000 for one child, Rs. 30,000 for two, Rs. 45,000 for three, and Rs. 60,000 for four.

Deepam: Three free gas cylinders to women upon his party's election victory.

Free Bus: Free bus travel for women,

Unemployment benefit: Rs. 3,000 unemployment benefit to the youth, promising 20 lakh jobs within five years, conducting a mega DSC (District Selection Committee) for teacher recruitment, and introducing work-from-home opportunities by collaborating with international companies.

Assistance to farmers: Rs. 20,000 yearly assistance, along with subsidies, crop insurance, and guaranteed crop purchases.

• Potable water supply to every household

• Rs 1.50 per unit of power for aqua farmers

• House sites:2 cents of land in urban and 3 cents in rural areas

• Free supply of sand

• Rs 20,000 financial assistance to fishermen during fishing holidays

• Financial assistance for the repair of boats

• Interest-free loans for small traders

• Special law for the protection of BCs

• Rs 4,000 pension for BCs above 50 years

• To negotiate with the Centre for 33 percent reservation for BCs

• Rs 15,000 crore for Kapu welfare

• Implementation of EWS reservations

• 200 units of free power to Dhobhi Ghats

• First signature on Mega DSC

• Digital libraries

• PRC and interim relief

• Rs 25 lakh worth of life insurance for every household
