HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh state became the top investment destination in India with investments of Rs 40,361 crore in the first seven months of 2022.
According to the Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (DPIIT) – July 2022 report, India's actual industrial investment for the first 7 months stood at 1,71,285 crore, of which Andhra Pradesh topped the list with 40,361 crore, followed by Odisha with 36,828 crore.
According to reports, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha top the list of states attracting the most industrial investment in 2022. In 2022, both states accounted for 45% of total investment inflows into the country.
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, approved investment proposals worth a total of Rs. 1,26,748 crore last week. The investments are expected to create direct employment for over 40,330 people in the next 7 years.
