Sai Varshith Kandula wanted to become a data analyst

HYDERABAD: Even as the US Federal agencies have yet to release full details of the 19-year-old Telugu boy Sai Varshith Kandula who was accused of attempting a takeover of the White House and killing President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, a sketchy profile of the once-timid boy has come out.

Sai Varshith who graduated from the Marquette Senior High School, Chesterfield, Missouri in 2022, wanted to pursue a career as a data analyst.

His introduction on his Linkedin handle reads “My career pursuit is dedicated to the field of data analytics. I am currently skilled in Python, and Java as my primary sources of coding languages. I am currently certified in Google, and IBM as a data analyst, and have completed courses which certify my skills in that field,” Sai Varshith says introducing himself to prospective employers.

Meanwhile, a former classmate of Varshith, who was also his neighbour in Chesterfield told the local media houses in the US through messages that he was worried about Varshith’s state of mind and that some trouble in his family might have led to the way he acted.

Aniket Sharma, a classmate of Varshith, at Marquette, described Varshith as a quiet and shy kid. “He enjoyed Tennis but was never open to long talks.” This was all he could remember of his classmate.

Sharma, who is now a student in a college, was surprised at the Neo-Nazi angle that has emerged implicating Varshith. He said that he never knew that Varshith developed a liking for Hitler as portrayed.

According to the St Louis Post Dispatch e-edition, when investigators carrying FBI equipment knocked at the door of Varshith’s residence in the 1100 block of Patchwork Fields Drive in Chesterfield, a man claiming to be Varshith’s relative answered the door. Efforts to reach the parents of Sai Varshith so far yielded no results.
