ELURU: In the biggest-ever political meeting held in the Godavari region in which more than six lakh cadres of the YSR Congress Party, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called upon the people to click on two buttons, one for the MLA and one for the MP on election day.

Addressing the massive gathering on the second ‘Siddham’ meeting on Saturday at Denduluru the YSR Congress chief said that he had transferred Rs 2,55,000 crore to the accounts of the poor by pressing the button 124 times during the last 57 months.

“Your son has distributed 124 DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) schemes in 57 months and provided benefits with a click of a button. Today, I ask you to go and meet the public and ask them to press two buttons on the fan symbol in return. One for Assembly elections and one for Lok Sabha elections,” he said.

Calling the Telugu Desam Party a yellow virus, he said voting for the opposition would be like granting a license to the opposition to remove all welfare schemes. “If you press on the fan symbol in this election, you will never have to face Chandra-Grahan (Lunar eclipse) ever again, otherwise Chandrababu Naidu will suck your blood like Chandramukhi,” he said.

“You are my Krishna and I am your Arjuna and the welfare schemes are our arsenal. With them we fight the Kouravas,” YS Jagan said elaborating that his Government fulfilled more than 90 percent of the assurances given in the manifesto. Calling upon the booth-level cadre that attended the meeting from Krishna and Godavari districts, the YSRCP chief said his Government had achieved wonders in sectors such as education, development of industrial infrastructure, ports, and shipping harbours.

“I want you to go and ask every family in your village how much money Chandrababu Naidu has deposited in their bank accounts during his 14-year-long governance, let them compare with the money that we deposited during the past 57 months,” Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

Calling Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Purandheswari as nonresident Andhras, he said that their only aim was to bring him down in the ensuing elections. “Not voting for Jagan means scrapping of schemes, return of Janmabhoomi committees and they will suck the blood of the poor and haunt every house like a Dracula,” Jagan observed.

YS Jagan also walked through the fan-shaped ramp specially crafted to allow the leader to personally meet the cadres at Denduluru. Jagan also allowed his fans to take selfies with him standing on the ramp
