ANAKAPALLI: The Jana Sena-sponsored statewide protest, 'Jagananna illu, labdidarulaku kannillu' (Jagananna houses, tears to beneficiaries), is turning out to be a case of classic irony for Pawan Kalyan and his partymen. A wave of anger and resistance from the beneficiaries, especially women, at several places is almost bringing tears to the Jana Sena leaders, thereby defeating the very purpose of exposing the YSRCP government in the name of alleged irregularities in the ambitious housing scheme.

The outrage of housing scheme beneficiaries against the Jana Sena party leaders and cadre continued even on Monday when they came to inspect the houses in Jagananna Colonies in Golugonda of Anakapalli district. The women beneficiaries were enraged over the Jana Sena activists provoking them against the government unnecessarily.

Videos of the women pulling up the Jana Sena leaders went viral. During the Jana Sena workers' visit to Jagananna colonies in Golugonda of Anakapalli district, local women expressed their anger and displeasure for trying to politicise the issue, forcing them to retreat immediately. Before leaving the place, Jana Sena leaders allegedly provoked the beneficiaries to demand more money for the construction of houses saying that the current amount would not be enough for building houses.

The local beneficiaries were however not ready to fall in this trap and told them on their face that there was no corruption in the housing scheme. Adding insult to injury, they even heaped praises on Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, claiming that he gave them houses without leaving any scope for corruption and without taking even a single rupee. They asked the Jana Sena leaders to leave their colony.
