VISAKHAPATNAM: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is facing the prospect of yet another police case, this time over the Rushikonda drone video that his party released on Saturday. The Visakhapatnam Police, according to unconfirmed reports, were gearing up to slap the actor-turned-politician and his party with a case for unlawful use of a drone.

After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Chola suite of the Eastern Naval Command on Friday night, Pawan Kalyan took a stroll on the beach in Visakhapatnam before heading to the Rushikonda area. There, he inspected various infrastructure development activities that were being taken up after excavations on the historical Rushikonda on all sides.

Coinciding with their leader's visit to the site, the Jana Sena later released a video giving a 360 degree aerial view of the hill, shot from a drone camera. The video vividly captured the ongoing constructions by excavating and levelling portions of the mountain on all sides. Though it served its purpose politically, the drone video is threatening to pose a serious problem for Pawan Kalyan on the legal front.

Reports claim that the Visakhapatnam Police were seriously toying with the idea of registering a case against Pawan Kalyan and his Jana Sena for the unauthorised use of the drone at the restricted area, without securing any prior permission.

The police said that a case might be registered against the actor-turned-politician as the visuals were captured from a no-fly zone in Rushikonda.

Meanwhile, the Janasena chief kept himself busy on Sunday by visiting houses, constructed under the 'Jagananna Illu' (Jagananna housing scheme) for the poor and margnalised sections, in Vizianagaram. He went there as part of a huge rally of Jana Sena activists.

If the Visakhapatnam police go ahead with their plans and register a case, then that will be the second case against the actor-turned-politician in a short span of time. Only on Saturday, the Tadepalli Police of Guntur district registered a case against him for undertaking a road journey by sitting on top of his vehicle which is in complete violation of traffic and road safety rules.
