AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Tammineni Seetaharam suspended 13 TDP MLAs for creating a ruckus on the floor of the house on Tuesday, the second day of the Assembly session.

TDP MLAs crossed the line and stood on the podium demanding the Speaker to take up a discussion on the adjournment motion they gave on spiraling consumer prices in the State. At this juncture, the Speaker stalled the house and announced a tea break.

However, when the house resumed its business, the TDP MLAs started shouting slogans ‘Psycho povali, cycle ravali’ and started throwing pieces of paper on the podium. YSRCP MLA Abbayya Choudhary while objecting to the unruly behaviors of the TDP MLAs suggested that they could protest by staging a walkout.

The Speaker then suspended Atchennaidu, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bendalam Ashok, Adireddy Bhavani, Gorantla Buchaiah Choudhary, Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa, Eluri Sambasiva Rao, Nimmala Ramanaidu, Ganababu, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, and Gadde Rammohan for a day.

Finally, the Speaker summoned Marshals to remove the agitating MLAs who refused to leave the house even after they were named for suspension.
