TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) opened a booking counter for issuing SRIVANI trust tickets to the devotees at Tirupati Airport. The counter was inaugurated by TTD Joint Executive Officer V Veerabrahmam on Thursday.

"The counter was set up for the convenience of the devotees who visit Tirumala from across the world," said Veerabrahmam. The VIP darshan tickets priced at Rs 500 comes as a sop for donation of Rs 10,000 per person made to the SRIVANI trust. "The funds obtained by the SRIVANI trust would be used for the construction of temples in remote areas," said Veerabrahmam.

The TTD JRO said that the TTD had also recently started issuing tickets at the 'Madhavam Rest House' in Tirupati along with accommodation. "The management also thought it would be beneficial for those who are coming to Tirupati on different airlines. Devotees can book the SRIVANI tickets at the airport itself and stay in the surrounding rest houses," he added.
