SRIKAKULAM: The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, extended the metaphor to include those who usurped the party and power from others as well as those who came to power on their own by comparing landowners and land speculators to Rama and Ravana in the epic Ramayana.

Speaking at the distribution of land title deeds here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that while people like MGR, NTR, and Jagan launched political parties and rose to power on the strength of their charisma and policies, others, such as Chandrababu Naidu, usurped the Party and power from his father-in-law, which is exactly equivalent to land grabbing.

According to the Chief Minister, although the first group is known as land owners, the latter group might be referred to as land squatters. The media allies of Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan should be compared as dushta chathustayam, and those who support Ravana, who had his sights set on Sita, should be referred to as demons (Gang of Four).

"While Chandrababu, who did nothing during his term, has been carrying out false propaganda with his gang for political gains, we are implementing revolutionary programmes", YS Jagan added.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government's dedication to decentralization, saying that the country has advanced from having three capitals to having 26 districts and establishing village and ward secretariats.

With the introduction of Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs), e-cropping, soil testing, village clinics, the family doctor concept, and English medium schools, among other things, we have changed the rural landscape, he added. The government is committed to regional development and sending a message of accountability, whereas Chandrababu wished to encourage regional disparities.

Never believe them or their propaganda, and the only yardstick for granting mandates is the welfare received by each household. He stated, "I trust only my people and God."

People only believe leaders who keep their promises in a democracy, and Chandrababu was always found wanting on that front. He wondered if betrayers should be given another chance to enter the assembly.
