AP replaces formative assessments with classroom based exams

AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh Government led by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, after a wide range of consultations, has decided to cancel the existing Formative Assessment-1 examination for classes 1-8 and replace it with Classroom Based Assessment (CBA).

The government on Monday decided to completely change the examination pattern in school education, cancelling the existing system and directing the authorities to follow the new system to conduct the examinations.

However, the government retained the Formative Assessment -1 for classes 9 and 10 respectively.

The CBA and Formative Assessment-1 examinations were scheduled to be held from November 2 to 5. They also released the blueprint of the CBA Exam, which had Multiple Choice Questions, Free Response Questions and the exam would be conducted on OMR sheet.
