KADAPA: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ram Singh, who is investigating the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy, uncle of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, is back in Kadapa on Friday after a long gap of six months to expedite the investigation. The CBI, which is using the guest house of the Kadapa jail as its make-shift office, is expected to intensify its probe into the case.

CBI ASP Ram Singh left for Delhi after the Andhra Pradesh High Court intervention. The high court heard the petition filed by Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy, the accused in the case, alleging that Ram Singh had forced him to give a false statement.

However, following the Supreme Court's notice to CBI asking the agency as to how many more days it would take to investigate the case, Ram Singh has come back to Kadapa to speed up the investigation. Ram Singh will likely quiz several suspects in this case on Friday.
