AMARAVATI: How does Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy pronounce the policy decisions of his party and its stand on numerous issues, especially when it comes to national politics. Jagan soft-pedals with the Narendra Modi Regime and also the policy decisions taken by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government.

However, Jagan seldom rushes to the media and blurts out his stand. Not that he doesn't take hasty decisions and then repents. However, there seems to be an unwritten mechanism he has worked out to spell out his party's political decisions. He has a channel – not talking about the media houses his family runs – to pronounce his thought process. This works in two ways, but to the advantage of the YSR Congress supremo.

He has chosen the twitter handle of his most trusted lieutenant and YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader V Vijayasai Reddy to 'disclose' the party's position on any issue or at times to evoke reactions and see whether there is support or opposition to the decisions.

For instance, Jagan chose to let Vijayasai Reddy tweet first on the party's stand in supporting the NDA's presidential nominee Droupadi Murmu. Ditto in the case of Jagdeep Dhankar as India's Vice-President.

Vijayasai Reddy engages himself in slanging match with TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu, and a lot of TDP leaders like Lokesh, Ayyanna Patrudu, Atchen Naidu, etc. That makes his handle that much independent and the barbs and comments at times appear to be hitting his subjects below the belt too. The language too is more than not pedestrian, when it comes to such digital brawl.

However, the same handle comes up with broads pronouncement of the political policy announcement. Be it on the three capitals move of Andhra Pradesh Government or the Power Bill introduced by the Centre. If Jagan doesn't like a particular policy of the Centre, it gets spurned in the tweets of Sai Reddy.

Lately, the MP has been seen actively tweeting against the Congress party's 'Bharat-Jodo Yatra', calling it 'Congress's last breath before death'. This indicates the cardinal hatred among Jagan and Sai Reddy and the party for the Congress, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. One can be assured that the Congress could never be excused by the YSR Congress for the "sin" it had perpetrated against the YS Rajasekhara Reddy's family.

Taking a dig directly at the Congress President Rahul Gandhi, he tweeted that hard work was not Rahul Gandhi's cup of tea. He also said that it was ironical for the Congress to hold the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' when they were the ones responsible for India's division in 1947.

While his tweets show that the YSRCP and Jagan stand against the major Opposition party, he is also seen openly supporting the Centre. His tweets usually incorporate both Centre's scheme and a YSRCP scheme and how these are benefitting the people.

Tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the MP also praised few of his approved beautification projects.

Amidst the continuous support that his tweets show to the Centre and its policies, MP Vijay Say also tweeted against the Centre when the YSRCP's schemes were called as 'freebies'. He also filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court and said that welfare schemes, which satisfy the basic needs of the poor, should not be disregarded as freebies.

However, the party's stand with the ruling party at the Centre was defined when he tweeted his and the YSRCP's support to NDA's Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates Droupadi Murmu and Jagdeep Dhankhar. MP Vijay Sai Reddy's tweets have seen following a trend of posting a lot about finance as well as education sectors. He also spoke against bitcoin and former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram.
