Condolences pour in for Rebel star Krishnam Raju

HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan, Minister K T Rama Rao and several others from the film industry expressed their condolences on the death of veteran actor, producer and former Union Minister Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju on Sunday, praising his contributions to the film industry and politics.

According to reports, 83-year-old Krishnam Raju passed away this morning in Hyderabad at 3:25 a.m. due to health problems. He was admitted to AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad for post-Covid complications.

Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao stated that the death of Krishnan Raju, who acted as an actor in many films during his fifty-year career and won the hearts of moviegoers as a "rebel star" with his unique acting style, is a great loss for the Telugu silver screen.

In an official statement, "The Chief Minister said that the death of Krishnam Raju, who served the people of the country as a member of the Lok Sabha, as a Union Minister and in the field of political administration, is sad. prayed for his soul to rest in peace. CM KCR expressed his deepest condolences to the family members of the late Krishnam Raju".

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed grief over the demise of Krishnam Raju, a former Union Minister and versatile film actor. The Chief Minister lauded the contribution of the rebel star, as he was popularly known, to film land and public life and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.

K T Rama Rao, Telangana's MA&UD Minister, took to Twitter on Sunday, "Saddened to learn about the demise of one of the most popular stars of Telugu Cinema, Rebel star Sri Krishnam Raju Garu. My wholehearted condolences to Prabhas Garu, his family members & friends. Rest in peace #KrishnamRaju Garu šŸ™".

Tollywood actor Nikhil Siddhartha, took to Twitter to express his sorrow over the Rebel star's untimely death. He wrote, "A Legend Has left usā€¦ A man with a Heart of Gold.. Rest in Peace sir will miss your Presence and Motivational words alwaysā€¦ @UVKrishnamRaju #KrishnamRaju."

Tollywood actor Manoj Manchu expressed his big shock by tweeting, "This can't be true. Such a great human being šŸ™šŸ¼ we will miss you dearly sir. Ur contribution to the film industry and the society Wil live on forever and ever. Om Shanti #KrishnamRaju garu. We will love you foreveršŸ™šŸ¼".
