Gautham Menon opens up on 'Ye Maya Chesave' sequel!

Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has delivered many hits in the past like Gharshana, Ye Maaya Chesaave and Surya s/o Krishnan. For the last few years, he is going through a rough patch. In order to score a big success, he is now coming up with his new film, The Life of Muthu.

Starring Simbu in the lead role, this film's Tamil version Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu has hit the screens today. The Telugu version will be released on September 17. Siddhi Idnani played the female lead in this movie.

Speaking about the film, Gautham Menon said that this movie is going to showcase the journey of a youngster from being a naive villager to becoming a gangster in Mumbai. He thanked AR Rahman for giving terrific music for this flick. There will be two parts to this franchise.

Gautham Menon thanked Sravanthi Ravi Kishore for releasing the film in Telugu. He said that his film with Ram Pothineni will go on floors in the summer of next year.

He also revealed his plans of making Raghavan 2 with Kamal Haasan, Ye Maaya Chesave 2 with Naga Chaitanya and Gharshana 2 with Venkatesh.

Gautham stated that his long-delayed film Dhruva Natchathiram will hit the screens in December this year.
