Kamal Haasan reunites with Mani Ratnam after 35 years

HYDERABAD: Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan made a roaring comeback with his last outing Vikram. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, this action thriller went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Tamil cinema.

After Vikram's success, it looks like Kamal Haasan is planning to do more films. In the process, he signed a new film with director Mani Ratnam. The collaboration marks their reunion after 35 years. Earlier, they worked on the film Nayagan.

An official announcement regarding this project came out last night.

Now, this is indeed exciting news for Kamal fans as Mani Ratnam is also enjoying the success of his last film Ponniyin Selvan. On the other hand, there are reports that Kamal will work with young filmmaker H Vinoth.

H. Vinoth is known for making films like Khakhee, Nerkonda Parvaai, and Valimai. He is currently working with Ajith for Thunivu. After wrapping up that project, he will work on Kamal's film.

On the flip side, Kamal Haasan is currently busy with the works of Indian 2, which is being directed by Shankar.
