Re-release of Prabhas's classic faces embarrassment

HYDERABAD: Although 'Rebel Star' Prabhas has attained international glory with 'Baahubali' dualogy, he was a celebrated star of Tollywood since his debut. He is one among the few who actually scored a hit with his debut, 'Eeshwar', and gained the star image with 'Varsham'.

Produced by much-reputed film producer M.S. Raju, 'Varsham' is an action romcom that took the industry by storm. The film was released quite when the revenge dramas were at their peak, and this officially began the season of RomCom in the industry. Audio by Devi Sri Prasad remains classic, while Prabhas - Trisha still remains a hit pair of Tollywood. On the occasion of 20 years of 'Eeshwar', 'Varsham' was released.

How odd it might sound, it happened & ended up in having the shows canceled. With the trend of re-releasing the classics, noted producer-distributor Natti Kumar has released 'Varsham' to encash the opportunity. Apart from major centers, there wasn't much attendance of audience across the state.

Following this, various fan clubs have released their statements over social media, spreading the news about not falling prey to the greed of distributors in the blindness of affection towards their favorite hero.

Hope this trend gets re-check instead of getting overkilled.
