HYDERABAD: In light of the upcoming Sankranti film releases, three prominent organizations within the Telugu film industry recently convened to address potential conflicts. A meeting held 15 days ago involved discussions with five Sankranti film producers – "Hanuman," "Eagle," "Saindhav," "Guntur Karam," and "Na Sami Ranga." The goal was to ensure cooperation and understanding among producers during the competitive Sankranti season.

Notably, the film "Eagle" exhibited commendable cooperation by shifting its release from Sankranti to February 9 at the chamber's request. This move, involving a mass hero adjusting a release date for the betterment of the industry, was acknowledged as a positive development in the challenging business landscape.

Similar cooperation was observed with Rajinikanth and Dhanush postponing their releases during Sankranti, aligning with the spirit of healthy competition. Even Siva Karthikeyan's Tamil movie adjusted its release date to maintain a positive atmosphere.

While the industry strives for healthy competition, the joint organizations expressed concern over certain media practices. Some social media platforms and other media outlets, driven by ratings and TRP during Sankranti, have created an uncomfortable environment. These outlets have been accused of fueling discord between fans, heroes, producers, and directors by publishing biased articles.

In response, the organizations strongly condemned such actions and called for responsible journalism. They emphasized the importance of verifying information with the industry before publishing, discouraging the spreading of false news. The letter concludes with a plea for appropriate action against those who engage in detrimental comments and articles that harm the industry's harmony.

The Telugu film industry, represented by these organizations, calls for unity and constructive reporting, ensuring a positive and supportive atmosphere for every film's success.
