Three films clashing on the same day during Sankranthi
We are just two weeks away from the Sankranthi festive season. This time, not one or two but four big-budget films are gearing up for release.

HYDERABAD: We are just two weeks away from the Sankranthi festive season. This time, not one or two but four big-budget films are gearing up for release. They are Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya and Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy. The other two are Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu (Vaarasudu in Telugu) and Ajith Kumar's Thunivu (Thegimpu in Telugu).
All these four movies are releasing in a span of two days. Waltair Veerayya will have a solo release on January 13. On the other side, Veera Simha Reddy, Vaarasudu and Thegimpu will take on each other on January 12.
Comparatively, Veera Simha Reddy is making big buzz than the other two because it is a straight film. The makers of Vaarausudu and Thegimpu are yet to start the promotions in the Telugu states. Meanwhile, the theatre allocation for these three films is also becoming difficult in AP and Telangana.
The USA premieres of these films will be held on January 11. We have to see how distributors manage to allocate theatres on such a tight schedule. Let's see which of these movies will be a winner in the festive race.
