HYDERABAD: The controversial political film 'Vyuham,' directed by Ram Gopal Varma, faces uncertainty in its release as it becomes entangled in legal disputes. The film, initially scheduled for release on December 29, encountered legal challenges when Nara Lokesh, the son of Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu Naidu, approached the Telangana High Court.

Lokesh alleged that the film aimed to tarnish his father's reputation. In response, the High Court issued an order preventing the film's release until January 11. Ram Gopal Varma, known for his provocative narratives, faced a setback with the court's decision.

'Vyuham' is said to depict events following the death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, portraying leaders like Chandrababu Naidu as antagonists. The film reportedly criticizes leaders from various political parties, including the Telugu Desam Party and the Congress.

The film's producer, Dasari Kiran Kumar, affiliated with the YSRCP, filed a petition challenging the single bench's judgment that led to the film's postponement. Kiran Kumar emphasized the significant financial losses incurred due to the delay in release. He argued that the single bench had scheduled the next hearing for January 11. However, the High Court instructed the petitioner to address the matter through the single bench, indicating that a resolution should be sought within that framework.
