Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Vikram and Samantha presented with Tamil Nadu State Film Awards

The Government of Tamil Nadu presented the State Film Awards for the years 2009 to 2014 on September 4, 2022. The ceremony was held at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai. The list of winners was actually announced in 2017, but the awards were given now.

Many popular actors like Vijay Sethupathi (2013 - Idharkunthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Pannayarum Padminiyum), Vikram (2010 - Raavanan), Nayanthara (2013 - Raja Rani), Samantha (2012 - Neethaane En Ponvasantham) and Amala Paul (2010 - Mynaa) were the recipients of these awards.
