HYDERABAD: Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya is having a sensational run at the box office. Not only in India but the film is having a sensational run in the overseas market too. Especially in the USA, there is no stopping for this action entertainer.
Within three days of its release, Waltair Veerayya crossed the break-even mark in North America. Until now, it crossed the $1.6 million mark and is expected to join the $2 million club by next week. With its sensational run, Waltair Veerayya became the Sankranthi winner in the USA.
The film collected $682,860 through its premieres and $308,911 on the first day. The collections were higher on the second day as it earned $392,532. It collected $310,220 until 6 pm PST. Overall, the movie earned $1,694,523 gross in these three days.
Thus, Waltair Veerayya became the first Telugu hit in the USA this year. Directed by Bobby Kolli, this movie featured Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Prakash Raj, Bobby Simha and Catherine Tresa in the other main roles. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music for it. Mythri Movie Makers bankrolled the project.
