HYDERABAD: Anu Emmanuel made her Tollywood debut with Nani's Majnu. The romantic drama failed to do well at the box office. Later, she got a few big films like Agnyathavaasi, Naa Peru Surya and Sailaja Reddy Alludu but all of them became flops.
After a long gap, Anu is back with her new film Urvashivo Rakshasivo. Directed by Rakesh Sashi, this romantic comedy featured Allu Sirish as the lead hero. Though the film got the positive talk, it remained a flop at the box office due to Allu Sirish's poor market value.
The makers tried to push the collections by inviting Allu Arjun to the success celebrations but that didn't help as well.
Anu pinned a lot of hopes on this movie. She did a bold role and also acted in multiple lip-lock scenes in the film. She looked cute and glamorous as well. But in the end, her hard work went in vain.
In six years of her career, Anu took many long breaks and couldn't attain stardom. We have to see how her career progresses after Urvashivo Rakshasivo.
Currently, Anu is acting alongside Karthi in the Tamil film Japan. She also has another film in the pipeline.
