The Chief Minister urged the HMDA to modify the design to suit the needs of the Defence Ministry and saw to it that the modified design was submitted to the Ministry.

The approvals for the new design came on Wednesday. However, the Telangana Government had to provide basic amenities to the Defence Zone to the tune of Rs 15.15 crore. The Defence Ministry also imposed a licence fee fixed by it for ten years. The land would be handed over to the HMDA within four weeks.

The Chief Minister urged the officials to complete the project at the earliest for the benefit of pedestrians in the Mehdipatnam area.
