HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said that those impeding the development of Hyderabad would have to face externment.

He said the State Government was preparing a master plan for the comprehensive development of Hyderabad city inside the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and also develop radial roads under suburban Hyderabad within the 354 km of the Regional Ring Road (RRR).

Speaking after inaugurating the second-level flyover at Bairamalguda, the Chief Minister said that the Vibrant Telangana 2050 Mega Master Plan would be conceived by taking suggestions from everyone. He issued a warning to all those who were trying to obstruct the Metro Rail expansion in Hyderabad. He said those creating hurdles in Hyderabad's development should be shunted out of the city.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government was striving hard to develop the state as a role model in the country. Hyderabad city would be developed in tune with the growing population.

He said that the State government took responsibility for the construction of Metro Rail through Uppal, Nagol, LB Nagar, Hayat Nagar, Owaisi Hospital, Chandrayangutta, and Mylardevarpally.

Revanth Reddy said that the State government envisaged plans for the Musi Riverfront development project at a cost of Rs 40,000 crore to Rs 50,000 crore. The abandoned Musi River would be revived on the lines of the Thames in London. The Musi River development project would be undertaken on a 55-km stretch as part of 'Vibrant Telangana 2050'.

Encroachers to be punished
