HYDERABAD: Chicha's restaurant in Hitech city has been booked by Legal Metrology Department for flouting the rules. A case has been registered against the restaurant for unfair trade practices.
Hyderabad resident Vinay Vangala, who had visited the restaurant, was taken by surprise as the price details were not mentioned on a goli soda bottle purchased by him. According to the complainant, manufacturing details were also missing on the goli soda bottle.
Vinay, in his complaint said, "I would like to register a complaint against Chicha's restaurant situated in Hitech city for not printing MRP and manufacturing date on goli sodas. I request to book a case against the establishment and impose a heavy penalty for flouting the Legal Metrology rules."
Responding to the complaint, an inspector from the Legal Metrology Department, Shamshabad, has inspected the trading premises of the restaurant and a case has been registered against the restaurant for violating the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and Legal Metrology Rules, 2011.
