Auto-rickshaw driver critical after car runs amok in Habsiguda

HYDERABAD: Four passengers of an auto-rickshaw, along with its driver, were injured after a car went berserk and rammed into the three-wheeler in Habsiguda of Hyderabad on Sunday. The freak accident took place near Osmania University (OU) campus.

A group of youngsters, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, were travelling in the car. The incident happened when the car went out of control and rammed into the auto-rickshaw. The three-wheeler was completely damaged and turned into a mangled mass due to the high-speed collision.

All the four occupants of the three-wheeler, who sustained injuries, were shifted to Gandhi Hospital. The driver, whose name was not immediately identified, suffered grievous injuries and was reported to be in a critical condition.

The identity of the youngsters, who were travelling in the car allegedly in an inebriated condition, was also not immediately known.
