Biscuit factory worker sets himself ablaze in Rangareddy district

HYDERABAD: A youngster in Rangareddy district was battling for life after setting himself on fire on Sunday, allegedly unable to deal with workplace issues. The victim was identified as Tirumalesh, a resident of Lacchampeta village in Chaudhariguda mandal within the Shadnagar Constituency of the district.

Tirumalesh is working in a biscuit factory. His relatives alleged that he resorted to the extreme step, unable to bear the harassment of the factory management.

The management of the biscuit factory has allegedly been harassing workers over the last few years and resorting to intimidatory tactics, creating a sense of insecurity among them.

Tirumalesh was immediately rushed to the Shadnagar Government Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical. The local police have registered a case and are investigating it.
