Cyberabad cops seize 360 kg ganja, worth Rs 80 lakh

HYDERABAD: The sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), Balanagar Zone along with Shamirpet Police apprehended six interstate drug peddlers and seized 350 kg of marijuana, two cars and six mobile phones worth about Rs 80 lakh.

Narsingh Madi, Ravi Dhansingh Chauhan, Kiran Ram Pawar, Vikas Mansingh Chauhan, Adeshshanth Kumar Jadhav and Sarjirao Kishan Chauhanand have been running a business of illicit transportation of Ganja from Sherpally agency area of Odisha to Solapur, Maharashtra, via Hyderabad, so as to earn easy money.

On August 1, they loaded a Bolero car with 175 packets of Ganja containing two kg in each, all weighing about 350 kg and left the agency area for Solapur of Maharashtra via Hyderabad.

Reportedly, they purchased the narcotics for Rs 1,500 per kg and sold it to customers at as much as Rs 20,000 per kg.
